Whoa! What a Busy Week...time for a break

Ok, if you are like me you are probably running around the house making sure things are just right.  What I mean by just right is that the home is tidy and clean ready for the gathering of guest.  Well it just so happens that I am ready and the house is too!  I have been cleaning and organizing those last minute details.  I have also been dabbling in capturing photos for my family scrapbooking project (I like to multi-task by the way).  I'm totally new at scrapbooking but not new to the amount of supplies the hobby has available.  I'm pretty familiar with a glue gun, glue sticks, glitter and my pink Advanced Tape Glider!  But, seriously when it comes to scrapping that's new territory for me in the world of "crafting".  So this my friends is going to be a post on my very first scrapbooking attempts.  What better way to begin a project than snapping TONS of photos during tomorrows Thanksgiving celebration!

Organizational Tidbit:  add pretty scrapbook paper
inside the ATG to dress it up!

In the meantime here is a scrapbook haul I did the other day.  I was like a kid in the candy store looking at rows and rows of stickers, emblishments and scrapbook storage essentials.  I was in awe at the amount of supplies a crafter such as myself (yes, I now refer to myself as a crafter) could select from.  I mean really what's a girl to do in a huge craft store but fill my cart full of goodies of course!

So here is what I purchased for my new found hobby of scrapbooking:

A must have essential for scrapbooking is of course a scrapbook album.  I lucked out and found this beauty on the clearance aisle of my local craft store for a mere $2.99!  Yay, cause that meant I could spend the other $20 or so bucks on scrapbook supplies.  I love final mark down sales...buying items at 80 - 90% off is a sweet deal!

Organizational Tidbit: buy several albums you will use them!

Then on to the really good stuff...I'm talking the flashy stickers.  I had a cart full of fun, bright, beautiful stickers I had to pull over to the next aisle and count how many sheets of pretty themed decorative emblishments I actually had.  Needless to say, I had about $120 worth of stickers...yeah you read it right $120 worth so I narrowed down my choices and ended up buying only $60 worth...phew! Oh, and the best part is that these stickers were too also found on the clearance aisle of my local craft store.

Organizational Tidbit: shop after Holiday sales (for deep discounts) to stock up
on themed stickers, store them away for next year!

Ok so with the introduction of my scrapbooking supplies, let the scrapbooking begin!  I'm off for now to rest up for the holiday tomorrow.  I've got my digital camera charging as we speak.  I want to be ready to snap TONS of pictures during the family gathering and dinner festivities...Gobble, Gobble!!

Happy Scrapping, Ebby
