I can't believe there is only 1 week until Thanksgiving before we know it Christmas and New Years will be here too. When it comes to holiday prep I am a BIG planner! I like to chart out every detail involved because we all know the holidays can be a stressful time of year. So whether I am hosting or not I like to be prepared which is why I dedicate this post entirely to holiday prepping. Call it a mini series if you will of how I plan what I hope to be a stress free (well that's my goal anyway) Thanksgiving Day.
I begin my holiday planning weeks in advance, yes weeks in advance I'm talking early October. I start writing out a list of items I would like to prep for. Creating shopping list allows me to sort specifically the details of the big day. Whether the big day is a party in general or this case Thanksgiving I like to be prepared...organizational speaking.
Creating checklist can help you stay on track! |
Now with the prep list completed I'm able to prepare for Thanksgiving without feeling under pressure. I have everything I need because I shopped ahead of time. I broke down the prep work process on paper and can easily check off items as they are completed. That's what I like about being organized in a binder I can write down ideas as well as keep a record of previous years to do list, prep and menu items.
Happy Thanksgiving, Ebby
